Late fishing report
Have been busy this week but did manage to get one day of fishing in. Friday myself and a coworker of mine set out for Lake Boudreaux. The South wind pushed the tide higher than normal and it was slack our entire trip. We hit the ponds in the north east portion on the lake, basically trying to get out the wind and look for some clean water. I have noticed that the grass is beginning to get thick in some areas and I'm sure in another month allot of ponds wont be accessible unless you have a mud boat. The fish where scattered and we only managed to get a few short hits in about a 3 hour grind. We decided to leave the Lake and hit Bush Canal and look for some new spots. Lake Boudreaux had a solid 2-3 foot chop. We shortly realized Bush Canal was closed. So scratch that we ran south in Grand Calliou Bayou. From the lake boudreaux canal we ran about 1 mile south and fished the left bank if your facing south. The fish where there and only could get them on gulp natural shrimp under a popping cork. All fish were only on about a 100 yard stretch, so we had to keep making circles. I must say that the area around Boudreaux canal has easy access to many areas of fishing and are all close. You will not burn allot of gas at all. I think we burned maybe 3 gallons. This is a great area to fish. Well Ill be back out there Monday so until then Happy Easter to everyone.
