Bayou Beat Correspondence From NOLA Jazz Fest Day One


First stop before hitting the quarter for some adult libations... Must feed the belly. Grilled Chicken Salad for the woman... Next the mans meal....

The mans meal... Crawfish etouffee with double side of potato salad and a piece of sweet potato pie.... Got to coat the stomach before a night of debauchery on Bourbon!

Next stop World Famous Pat O'Brien's courtyard.... Stay tuned...


Woman's drink.... Malibu and OJ

Man's drink.... Mint Julep....cause by the end of the night I will probably feel like a plantation owner

and that's what us true Southern Gentlemen drink, right? Or is that just for the derby folks??? Either way I can see a very high level of intoxication in my near future.... Sorry Mr. Liver, but this is NOLA!

Mint Juleps are going down to easy... Woman decides she likes the plantation owner idea and orders a Famous Pat's Lemonade....the ladies drink of the South....notice there are no big red drinks on the table...heed this warning red drinks from this place are bad, bad!!!!
