I had another request from Dena of being Dena, this time for a post of Eva Mendes. Now if you have not been to Dena's site, please do yourself a favor and get there asap. Getting back to Eva, in my opinion Eva is a stunningly beautiful lady, with a load of confidence and a drool-worthy sex appeal.



Eva, a thirty something girl, was born in Miami Florida, has a list of movies starred in, as long as my arm, and is doing very well for herself.
Funny enough, just like Drew, Eva had her share of substance abuse, but in 2008 she kicked the habit, and has never looked back.

This is such a stunning picture of Eva, love the dressier touch, and kick ass sexy attitude. Elegant and sexy.

If you are a regular reader of my posts, you will know that I love the way she stands here, there is just something about it that oozes sex appeal. Quite sexy legs also, specially with the heels.



A very determined Eva, obviously we have no clue what she is talking about, but she looks extremely sexy while saying it. :)



I think Eva nowadays, is the perfect example of a successful celebrity, who has been up the creek and over the mountain, yet is extremely popular, and still has places to go and things to do. A style inspiration and fashion icon to younger, and maybe even some older stars, and girl next door alike.

SEXY LEGS: WHEN ARE A PAIR OF LEGS SEXY?

Image via WikipediaWhen and why does a pair of legs qualify as sexy? A question I have been asked a few times. I have given it some thought and haven't come up with a easy or simple explanation, but I am going to allow you to decide if the legs I have chosen are sexy. By doing that, we might solve the problem.

Firstly, and this is not necessary my opinion, but from searches on my site, leggings play a major role. Leggings in the form of tights, fishnets and stockings. Most of my readers, as you know commented on my post referred to underneath, that fishnets are sexy.

So how about this pair of legs? Do they qualify as sexy? My opinion, yes they do. Why? Is it the stockings, or the way this lady sits, or is it the heels making them sexy? You tell me. I will venture to say it is a mite of all of the above.




How about Christina Ricci? Will you classify her legs as sexy in this pic?



How about her in this pic, which is more sexy? And why. My opinion? The second pic, and mainly because a nice pair of heels just always put more shape into a pair of calves. I think it will be fair to add that she does have really well shaped legs, even in flats.



Let's take another look at tights or stockings, Kate Hudson is a favorite of mine. So when does she look more sexy, when wearing tights..... and high heeled shoes?



Or looking casual like this? Now be honest, forget about the rest of the body, I know some people might find the belly button sexy, or what ever else, concentrate on the legs, ok?



How about this pic? I was shocked to see her looking like this. I actually had to look twice to make sure it really is her. I think she looks terrible in this pic.

Comments and input from readers on previous posts has proved that Sienna Miller is a quite popular young lady. I have no choice but to agree, so I thought it wise to post a bit about her.

Sienna Rose Miller, born in New York city on 28 December 1981 has made a name for herself as mainly a model and actress.

Stunningly beautiful? Yes I reckon. Sexy legs? Definitely. Maybe a mite on the thin side, but sexy none the less.




Sexy legs, no doubt about that, I love the calves shaped by those heels.

I have a question though, more for the ladies, and I am sure any male readers will agree with me, why would someone with calves and legs like these.....



wear something like this?? My point being, why hide your best assets?? Ok, I agree she does have a beautiful face, but still. This outfit does not compliment her at all... my opinion ok? But, take a second look, is it just me, or does she sort of agree with me, she does not look confident at all. Looks like she is holding thumbs for something.

I think this is a stunning pic of her, she looks especially beautiful, maybe it is the red contrasting with her blond hair, not sure. FISHNET STOCKINGS - SLEAZY AND CHEAP OR SEXY AND CLASSY?

I need to get some answers from my (female) readers.

How do you feel about fishnet stockings or tights. I think mostly people associate fishnets with ladies of the night. I read a post on the subject and it gave me the idea to do a post myself, I am curious, what do you guys think, do fishnets look cheap and sleazy, or just inappropriate? Or does it look sexy?

Will you wear them to work? To a wedding?

I am sure, no, I know, most men find fishnets quite sexy, actually most kinds of stockings or tights look sexy on a nice pair of legs. My opinion, a pair of stockings worn with a nice dress or skirt, and a pair of heels does look sexy. See image for example, I would think, and I am honest when I say, the dress or skirt is a mite short for it to not be inappropriate to say the least.

If however worn like Natasha Bedingfield is in the following pic, I would say it actually looks very sexy and appropriate.



I am going to keep this short, I'd love to get your opinion on this matter. Sleazy or sexy?

SEXY LEGS SATURDAY!

I have started two posts which I never finished. Don't ask me why... so I thought to do a post about some more sexy legs, and stay true to my title. According to Feedjit it is still the most popular subject.

I have no idea where Vanessa Minnillo fits into the picture, and this morning it is not important, what is important is that it is her first appearance on my humble blog, and that she has fabulously well shaped legs. Again, wearing high heels enhances the shape tremendously. The peep toes and red nail varnish, a bonus.



Penny Lancaster has featured before, but I think she deserves another round, she has stunning legs and she knows exactly how to flaunt them. Is her baby born yet?? I wonder....



Sienna Miller in my opinion is a mite on the skinny side, but what I like about this picture is the way her heels shape her calves. And she is a rather beautiful young lady.



A classic duo, Leighton Meester and Blake Lively, both girls with shapely, sexy legs!




I guess for a Saturday I have done more than enough, I would love to hear what you have to add. What I think needs mentioning in this post is the fact that high heels, and stiletto heels in particular are able to shape almost any pair of legs into sexy legs. Don't you agree?

AIRSHOW - FASHION WITH A DIFFERENCE.

We have been to an airshow on Saturday. Now I am sure compared to airshows abroad, this was a tiny airshow, but airplanes and flying are passions of mine, (as long as I can watch from down here) so I absolutely loved it.

Please keep in mind that my camera is a little el cheapo, add to that the fact that I am a no account photographer, so this is the only pic I could get of an aircraft in flight, and at the time, the chopper was hovering right in front of us.



One of the highlights of the day, the Mustang, damn, is that a cool airplane or what. Used by the Us in days gone by, it used to be a remarkably fast and effective fighter plane.
When ever you see a single prop airplane with four propeller blades, that is an indication that the mentioned plane is very fast and very maneuverable. The pilot really entertained the crowd.



This little bi-plane is called the Boeing Stearman and is owned and flown by a well known aerobatics pilot of South Africa, Stu Davidson. Stu's son Patric just competed internationally in an aerobatics flying contest, and I speak under correction when I say I think he got 11th place overall. Not bad for a boertjie I would say.
The contraption you see on the top wing is a harness used to strap in any 'more guts than brains person' who is in the mood for wing walking. Just the idea gives me the shivers. I have actually seen a woman standing on the wing in flight on previous occasions. And yes, also in inverted flight. She must really be an adrenalin junkie.



Here is another plane dating from the world war two era, the Sea Fury. Note the four blade prop, same story, fast and maneuverable. I am not sure who this plane belongs to, but I know Stu Davidson also owns one, and believe me when I say, he knows what he is doing when he is in the cockpit of this extremely powerful plane. It has a 18 cylinder engine and is capable of 460 miles per hour or 740 km per hour. At the time that was more than likely the fastest single prop plane.




The Pilatus PC-7, the airplane used by the South African Air Force to train fighter pilots. Note again the four blade prop, very fast for a single prop plane and very effective as a trainer plane. Unfortunately there was always a crowd around it so I couldn't get a decent shot of it.



The L39 jet, also a trainer plane, used to train fighter pilots, but privately owned now. Not very fast as far as jets go, but fast enough to keep your attention.



Yolande and Jesse at the Yak, a two seater plane also privately owned. Here you can see a twin blade prop, this plane is very slow, and not all that maneuverable.
Jesse loves planes as much as I do, needless to say, just look at the expression on his face.



Amore, Jesse and Yolande at the Cessna, Jesse was not impressed as we were on our way out and he wanted to stay.... but as you can see, Yolande was wearing heels, and she'd had enough of standing and watching planes.



Well I guess that is it for today, I know this has absolutely nothing to do with fashion, but in all honesty, airplanes and flying, (not me flying, please take note) are my first passion, pity we don't have an airshow every weekend. (MAYBE A GOOD THING, MY WIFE WILL DIVORCE ME)

FASHION: TURN ON AND TURN OFF.

I had a very interesting request for a next post from my dear friend, Dena of Pretty Little Things. This is what Dena said:

"Colin I like to see more post from you on beauty seen by men, what do they find attractive in a woman when it comes to character and looks.

"What are the biggest turn off according to Colin?"

Mighty dangerous ground? Yep, it is, specially coz 90% of my readers are ladies.

I think men are more inclined to look at a girl's "outer" than her "inner" qualities.... first impressions anyway.

What I first look for in a girl is femininity, I like a girl that is soft, feminine and girly. She doesn't have to be drop dead gorgeous, or have a perfect figure. There are loads of less beautiful and less sexy girls out there that will catch the average male eye just as fast as the most beautiful girl in the world. (sometimes even faster, coz the most beautiful girl might think the sun is shining out of her backside, a major turn off!) Now to me there are certain things that are synonym with femininity, and again, this is my preferences. Long, well kept hair, color varnished nails, make up, a dress or skirt, heels, ear rings. You will notice that these are all things that a man is not suppose to use or have, or wear.

Let's look at Heather Tom, the perfect example of what a girl should look like. Now I specially love her hair.



Something else that catches my eye is confidence. Confidence in a nice way, not the "I know I am gorgeous and everyone else is ugly" kinda confidence, coz that is a major turn off. Not just to men.

Here is another example of what a typical girl should look like - hair perfectly done, nails painted, red lips, well dressed and heels. Now do not get me wrong, I know a girl cannot look like this all the time, but at least when you go somewhere with someone special, make an effort to look special.



Other turn offs, and I speak for myself here. Bad odors, no matter, male or female, man I wanna get sick when someone smells like an open grave. I think that is the most terrible turnoff for me.

When I look at a girl, first things I notice are her nails and hair. Long well kept hair to me is a bonus, and the same with nails. Nails with colored nail varnish on, and half the varnish is chipped off, YUK. Goo under the nails....bleeeh, terrible.

I have posted this pic before, but this is the perfect example of what a girl should NOT look like. If you zoom in on her one hand you will notice chipped nail varnish. If you zoom in on her feet, you will notice......uhm, don't rightly know what to call that, you call it what ever you like..... I just know, if I had to go somewhere with her, I'd politely ask her to walk some ten paces ahead of me, just so people don't think we are together.



Unshaven armpits and unshaven legs.... yuk! Another turn off.

You know, I think loads of people get divorced simply because people let go. The believe or attitude is, I am married now, I do not have to look after myself anymore, be that male or female. You got to keep looking great for your partner, no matter what. Your partner must be proud to go places with you. Make small changes, not so your partner would ask, "who the hell are you?" but something that will make your partner take a second look at you, or make your partner fall in love with you over and over again.

I hope that answers Dena's question, and I know I am going to get loads of flak from some readers, I am not going to mention any names, haha... but this is my opinion, take it or leave it. I am in the fortunate position that I married a girl that has all of these good qualities, so it is possible to be like this. And believe me, she will not go anywhere if she doesn't feel dressed properly, or if her hair isn't perfect. I reckon pride has a lot to do with it also.

Well, it is time for you girls to pick up the stones, let me know when to start ducking. Do I expect too much, and men in general, do we expect too much from the fairer sex? The floor is yours, you can start throwing.
