Zac Efron Suits Up For The Speedway

Zac Efron put on a racecar uniform while filming Heartland (although some reports claim that this Ramin Bahrani-directed project is still untitled) at Iowa Speedway in Newton, Iowa Friday. Casting really hit the nail on the head when they were looking for a homegrown, corn-fed farm boy to play the part.

Efron, 23, plays Dean Whipple, a rural Iowa teen determined to become a professional racecar driver. Dennis Quaid plays Efron’s father in the film. Two generations of eye candy = movie magic.
